The Center is a Community Corrections Facility (CCF).
The treatment program is a non-medical Substance Abuse
Treatment Facility (S.A.T.F.) for offenders placed in treat-
ment by court order as an alternative to incarceration in jail
or in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of
Criminal Justice. Residents are required to participate in
intensive treatment for a minimum of three months, which
consists of cognitive behavioral curriculum facilitated in a
group setting, additive education, responsivity groups, Job
Readiness Training , individual therapy, recreational   
opportunities, Community Service Restitution (CSR),
urine drug surveillance and other activities. The average
length of stay in the program is nine months, followed by
six months of aftercare when returned to the Community.
State law allows lengths of stay up to 24 months.
Residents are required to reimburse the Center for a por-
tion of the cost of room and board at the rate of a mini-
mum $16.00 per day. Payments toward these costs begin
upon having successfully achieved work privileges status
and obtaining employment. Residents are also responsible
for any medical, dental or other incidental expenses they
may incur while in the program. Such expenses may   
include but are not limited to: laundry, transportation and
treatment supplies.
